The film, which will be written and directed by Chris Columbus—the man behind Mrs. Doubtfire, Home Alone, and two Harry Potter movies—is being produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment.
Based on Osman’s same-titled debut novel, the film follows a group of friends in a retirement community as they work together to solve this.
