At a meeting to assess ongoing development projects at the Capital Development Authority (CDA), a decision was made.
In order to lessen environmental pollution, the interior minister instructed the CDA to only buy electric bikes going forward. In the meanwhile, eco-friendly electric buses will be run for Islamabad residents.
The Federal Secretariat renovation, the improvements to the Diplomatic Enclave, and the implementation of smart parking solutions were among the other projects that were discussed at the conference and their respective status.
Naqvi placed a strong emphasis on making Islamabad a world-class city, including green initiatives like limiting bike purchases to electric models and switching to electric buses that are less harmful to the environment for public transportation.
Moreover, the Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad (MCI) would hand over its obligations to the CDA, guaranteeing emergency services that meet international standards.
