Imran Khan’s party has claimed that YouTuber Agha Sheikh Sarwar was kidnapped from his Karachi house after he covered PTI protests at the D Chowk in Islamabad.
PTI supporters flocked to the nation’s capital this week to demand the release of their leader, who has been detained for more than a year on allegations that include encouraging rebellion and sedition, as well as the supremacy of the Constitution.
The party claims that Sarwar, a purported PTI supporter, was taken to an undisclosed location when he and fellow activist Umar Malik were filming the demonstrations.
“Agha Sheikh Sarwar, a social media activist, journalist, and YouTuber, was allegedly kidnapped from his residence at 3am by police, Rangers, and unidentified individuals,” the PTI stated in a statement.
