ISLAMABAD According to a senior defense source, the Pakistan Army has already made it clear that it will not engage in any dialogue with any political party, including the PTI, since the institution has made it clear that political parties should talk politics, engage in dialogue, and make and accept compromises.
When asked about the rumors of a potential agreement between the PTI and the military establishment, the source, who spoke to The News under the condition of anonymity, claimed that the army had nothing to do with the situation.
During a news conference led by Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army explained its stance: “It is for the political parties to discuss such matters,” the source said.
