The Chemical Laboratory Sukkur (Rohri) report, which Dawn.com saw on Friday, verified that the dead’s corpses contained poison and intoxicating drugs.
According to authorities, the incident happened in the village of Haibat Khan Brohi, close to Pir Goth, Khairpur. They also stated that Gul Baig Brohi, his wife, five boys, three daughters, and other people were among the victims, according to hospital sources.
As per the chemical report, the tests conducted revealed the presence of benzodiazepine and insecticide.
The Khairpur Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Dr. Samiullah Soomro, who is in charge of the investigation, stated, “We are carefully reviewing the medical report which confirms that the victims were poisoned.”
SSP Soomro declared, “Every aspect of the case is being considered, and we will take legal action accordingly.”
